This project aims to convey knowledge of vernacular architecture through the design of a carriage house that closely follows the architectural composition of historic Coral Gables with respect to climate and style
The name, ‘A Vila Vinculada’, loosely translates from Portuguese to ‘the linked village’. This urban space is composed of 21 mixed-use buildings that are connected through a series of pedestrian bridges and ramps, which allow for easy access to a variety of programs.
